VEP determines a client's eye-brain response time. When the eyes are subjected to visual stimuli, the optic nerve at the back of the eye relays the message to the visual cortex to process that information in the mind. This takes place at an incredibly fast speed, virtually instantaneously. It is so quickly, that we at, feel as though there is no delay-- we see something straightaway.
